Hall Renovations

Gleneden Hall is entering an exciting phase of renewal as we prepare for our 100th Anniversary in 2029. Thoughtful upgrades are underway to improve safety, sustainability, and functionality — while preserving the character that makes the Hall a valued gathering place.

Recent improvements and upcoming projects reflect our commitment to caring for this community space so it can continue serving generations to come.

Progress Update: Gleneden Hall Well Project 💧

We Hit Water! 💧

Thanks to the incredible support from the SHUSWAP COMMUNITY FOUNDATION, our community hall successfully drilled and struck water on October 8th! This milestone brings us one step closer to clean, reliable water on-site. Our next goal is upgrading the electrical panel to bring the new well fully to life. A heartfelt thank-you to everyone who made this possible — your generosity is making a lasting impact in our community.
Joan Jacobs, President of the Gleneden Community Association

A big Thank-You to the

Exciting news — progress is flowing at Gleneden Hall! The new water line and electrical cable have now been installed and the well equipped with a brand-new 40 L/m (10 GPM) pump.
A huge shout-out to Jerry and Jake for their tireless efforts (and way too much hand digging — thanks to those unmarked old lines!). And of course, thanks to Coleen for moral support and shovel-holding duties when needed!
The weather mostly cooperated, and with a little luck, we’ll have the pump up and running by November 5th. with a sufficient flow to handle the Hall’s needs. Once it is tested we will know what sort of treatment, if any, will be needed.
Once backfilling is complete, we’ll also gain additional parking space — another great step forward in our hall renovation project.
Stay tuned for more updates as Gleneden Hall continues to grow and improve, thanks to the hard work and community spirit of our amazing volunteers.

Thank You for Lighting Up Gleneden Hall

The old, costly, and inefficient incandescent and fluorescent lights in the auditorium have been replaced with high-efficiency, more environmentally friendly, dimmable LED lights.
A heartfelt thank-you to Jake Jacobson and the Shuswap Society for the Arts and Culture for their generous donation toward the new lights. We also extend our sincere thanks to Jerry, Harold, and Jake for their time and hands-on help with the installation.
This thoughtful upgrade will greatly enhance the hall for community events and gatherings.
