The Irish Independent called them ‘one of the hottest young prospects in traditional Irish music’.

The Gleneden Hall is proud to present TULUA, direct from Ireland, for an unforgettable evening of contemporary Irish folk music.

Blending exceptional musicianship with a deep respect for tradition, TULUA has become one of Ireland's most exciting emerging folk groups. Drawing inspiration from the music and songs of their local communities and traditions from across Ireland, the quartet takes audiences on a captivating journey through stories of love, life, and everything in between.

Having played together from a young age, the four musicians share an unmistakable chemistry that shines through every performance. Their fresh, energetic approach breathes new life into traditional Irish music while remaining deeply rooted in the rich heritage that inspires it.

Since releasing their acclaimed debut album in 2023, TULUA has toured extensively across Ireland, Canada, Australia, Germany, the Netherlands, France, and the United States, earning more than 90,000 online streams and building a devoted international following. They have appeared at renowned events including Folk Alliance International, Milwaukee Irish Fest, Stan Rogers Folk Festival, Festival Interceltique de Lorient in France, the National Celtic Folk Festival in Australia, and have performed at Ireland's prestigious National Opera House.

Anyone who has seen C.R. Avery perform live can attest that he takes his audience and band on an exciting and exhausting journey. You may remember his performances years ago as part of  the brilliant, musical, spoken word trio, T.O.F.U.,  which included the Penticton-based spoken word master Shane Koyczan and American poet Mighty Mike M cGee.

Over the years Blues, country and rock merged with the Avery’s spoken word.Today he’s an exhilarating frontman simultaneously singing, beat-boxing, playing harmonica, and playing keys. No two shows are the same as Avery often improvises new songs or pulls guests performers.

We’re looking forward to a cabaret style set-up for this show to connect community with an inspiring fun evening of music.
